Starting Jan 2nd, Thursday 7:30pm, the Men’s Summer Book Reading Catch Up Hang Out Time (aka Book Club but let’s be real…it sounds a bit girly to do a book club) will kick off at Riley’s house.

We will be going through “50 Days of Heaven” by Randy Alcorn, the book that Riley shared on Sunday during his message.

You can purchase the book for $10 by emailing Rebs and transferring the $ to the church account, they will be at the Coffee Table on Sunday.

At the start of this year Riley laid out a vision that we’d become more and more a ‘Praying Church’, and one of the key ways we’ve grown in prayer is through these special nights together. This is our final one of the year, so please come along as we celebrate the theme: “Come Lord Jesus!” and long for his second coming.

We will be spending our time in worship through song and in corporate prayer. All are welcome to this event - wherever you may be in your prayer life! We look forward to seeing you there!

The Bridge Course is designed to help people have conversations about the big questions of life in a non-threatening environment. We are going to be running this 10 week course twice next year and we are looking to see who feels moved and stirred to help make this happen.

So far we have four leaders committed: Riley, Richie, Louis and Abella.

1. We are looking for 3 more female table leaders to help on the Tuesday nights - your job is to befriend, love and be a part of the conversations.

2. We are also looking for 9 more hospitality helpers who can provide a meal for everyone, this is a once-off commitment to do a meal for one of the weeks - there is a budget to help you.

3. We are also looking for 3 childcare helpers who can provide baby sitting so that we can have single mums, couples with kids, etc come to Bridge.

You don’t have to commit now but if you would like to help make this big missional venture happen, I’d love to hear from you at rs@sgparra.org.au!

It was so good to once again join us with SG Wahroonga last Friday night for a Thanksgiving meal with the singles from both churches. We had 25 of us sitting down for dinner and fellowship and a time of Thanksgiving! We thank God for these men and women from both our churches and look forward to continually meeting with and walking alongside one another!

One of the questions that we sometimes get asked as Pastors is, “How possible is it to change Life Groups?” And the answer we always give is, “Very possible!!”

For a whole variety of reasons, folk sometimes want to move Life Groups and so we just thought we’d drop you a note saying you are welcome to approach your Life Group leader or the pastoral team about this if you have been considering a change. End of year is often a good time to make this decision if you’re thinking this way, so please just let us know and we will see what we can do.
