Pre-Service Prayer

There is usually a lot going on for each of us on any given Sunday morning! However, if you do find yourself free between 9:30-9:50am on a Sunday, please join us for Pre-Service Prayer as part of our worship each week. We will be meeting in the little paved area in front of the church offices - ALL are welcome! Psalm 127:1 says “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” Come and join us as we undergird all that we do in prayer and wait expectantly for the Lord to build His house.

Band Sign Up Lunch This Sunday!

The Band Sign Up Lunch will be on after service this coming Sunday!

If you are currently serving in music (including PA and Projector), please make it a priority to come along!! We want to thank you for serving His bride so faithfully the past year, but also to hear what serving in SG Music would look like in 2023.

This is also an open-invite lunch for those who are interested in exploring joining the team. Maybe you are new, or maybe you are being stirred by God to serve in this way?

We currently have needs in these particular area of serving (though all welcome!):

  • Singers - Male and Female (no requirement to read music, just singing!)

  • Bass Guitar

  • PA

  • Acoustic Guitar

  • Drums

Is this you? Or is there a brother or sister you could encourage to come along (maybe you’ve heard someone singing next to you on a Sunday)?

We will spend time over lunch considering “Why do we sing?” and what it looks like to serve on the team. My hope is that we all are freshly encouraged from His Word to sing to the Lord and spurred to serve to this end in 2023!

Sunday Recap - Living Our Mission + Envision

“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” 1 Cor 2:2

Sunday was a special day for us as a Church! We gathered for a new preaching series, Living Our Mission, as we look at our mission statement and make sure that we keep the main thing, the main thing.

Head to our Sermons page or the podcast to listen to ‘Knowing the Gospel Deeply’ on 1 Corinthians 2:2.

Point 1: Knowing the Gospel Deeply Means Knowing the Gospel

Point 2: Knowing the Gospel Deeply Means Knowing Jesus

Point 3: Knowing the Gospel Deeply Means Knowing it Passionately

We also had our Envision Meeting, our annual Church Family meeting to launch our year, give reports of God’s kindness to us as a Church over the previous year, information on what’s coming up, staffing, budget, programs, and a chance to hang out and eat pizza!

It was such a joy to see you all lean in with enthusiasm and expectancy for what God will do in and through us as a local church this year. Please be praying for it all!

SG Kids Workers Night

SG Kids is an integral part of our church’s life and it wouldn’t be possible without the countless volunteers who give up their time, energy and resources to serve the next generation!

Part of what makes this all possible are our biannual training nights - the first of which is coming up on Wednesday, the 22nd of February.

If you serve in SG Kids, please lock in this date for our first kids workers training night of the year. More details to come. Attendance at these nights is a crucial part of serving in kids, so please make it a priority to be there.

Life Groups Are Back This Week (plus Sem 1 Calendar)

Life Groups are back this week! Life Groups are so vital for us as a Church as they allow us to take the joy of Sunday and work out in smaller communities where we can know each other more deeply and help each other out more personally.

As much as is possible, it’s our aim for every member to attend Life Group or Growth Group, every time it’s on! This isn’t a rule or a new law, rather, we’d love that these special times go in our calendars first because they’re so good and so vital for our growth AND they are a key way we each play a part in serving each other in the church.

For some, this is made difficult because of shift work, travel, or baby sitting needs. To help you, please find the Semester 1 Life Group Calendar attached here so that you can look ahead to when your group is on and organize your calendar/sitting around that if possible.

It’s so great when the most amount of people can be regularly be at group where possible!

I hope Life Groups and Growth Groups bless you great this year!
