Praise God! - last week we had 9 people come along to our first night of Alpha
We had a great time eating, watching our first Alpha episode and discussion groups.
The Spirit definitely strengthened us in our faith in Christ throughout the night and gave us immense joy in planting/watering the gospel seed in the lives of those who attended. God will provide the growth in His perfect timing.
We were also encouraged throughout the night knowing that we had fellow saints praying for us and the guests. Join us again tonight at Iron St or on Zoom (LG leaders have the link) for the Alpha Engine Room. Prayer will commence 8.30pm till 9pm.

Alpha 2022 - We’re all set and ready to go.
I want to take this opportunity to commend all of you for your heart for mission and your zeal for the gospel to be shared to the lost.
We’ve invited many to join us tonight for our first Alpha week, however, this is only the beginning. For the next 6 weeks, we will be sharing the joyful news of Jesus to those who attend and we want you to continue to partake in the mission by praying along side us.
Ephesians 6:18: Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
God will hear our pleas and He will act according to His Sovereign plan.

Ladies Breakfast will be held this Saturday the 28th of May @ Iron St Chapel.
These breakfasts are an opportunity to gather together as ladies for food, fellowship and a time of opening up God’s Word.
We have a special guest speaker - Emma Taylor (SG Wahroonga), talking on a topic called ’The Right Kind Of Strong’ and a time of Q/A afterwards.
God calls women to be strong, but His idea of what it means to be a strong women is different to the one our culture gives us. What does it mean to be a strong women as biblically defined? How can SG Parra women grow to be this kind of women? We would love you to join us as we unpack this topic together.

This Sunday, May 29, we will be having our Baby Dedication Sunday.
These Sunday’s are very special to us as a church as we set aside time to thank God for the lives of our children and dedicate ourselves and our child(ren) to the things of the Lord.
So please mark your calendars and plan to join us.

Have you invited anyone to Alpha?
While some people may enjoy charging headfirst into difficult and/or awkward conversations, most of us find this a challenging task.
What if they say ‘No’?
What if I can’t answer their questions?
What if they’re offended by something I say?
What if they think I’m weird, silly or presumptuous?
These kind of questions can prevent us from evangelising. Yet in these moments God is fully prepared to get us ‘enabled’ for evangelism.
1 Peter 3:15 - but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.
‘honor Christ the Lord as holy"‘ - In other words, don’t worry about how your words will be received, instead, focus on Who your words will honor.
So as you prepare your heart and mind for evangelism this week, set your eyes on Christ. May He be honored through your obedience to reach out to the lost. Go and share the good news SG Parra!
