Help Distribute Luke's Gospel via the ACL

The Australian Christian Lobby is currently running a campaign to distribute 500,000 copies of Luke’s Gospel across Australia and are looking for thousands of volunteers to help make this happen.

Personally, I have signed up and if it interests you then go to the ACL website and register as a volunteer.

The distribution will be sometime from Sat, 20 Nov – Tue, 7 Dec

You will join a field team and will receive all instructions from ACL. I joined the Western Sydney team and the Epping Team, because i didn’t know exactly which one would be best for us as a family.

Get Reformation Ready!

As everyone gets pumped for Halloween, I want to encourage you to get pumped for thinking about the Reformation!

1) Luther Documentary

Ligonier Ministries, the ministry founded by the late R.C. Sproul is offering a free streaming of their documentary, “Luther” this month!

3) Michael Reeves - The Unquenchable Flame

I had the privilege of sitting under Dr Reeves as he passionately lectured on the Reformation, it was life-changing. His book is just like his lectures, I highly recommend it!

This Sunday! 2.30pm at Northmead Anglican Church...In Person!

It is a great joy to announce that this Sunday we will be in-person at Northmead Anglican Church!

Here are all the details:

Time: 2.30pm (we need to fit in around there other 3 services!)

Venue: NAC is a large church venue, with ample room for our service, and heaps of rooms for SG Kids!

Address: 6 Thomas St, Northmead

Parking: You can park on Thomas st and Lombard st. Be mindful it is a residential street and so please leave room around driveways.

Coffee: Yes! we will be doing coffee and there will also be hospitality and snacks after the service, so prepare to stay and hang out!

SG Kids: We will be running a full SG kids program! Presently we are asking only fully vaccinated kids leaders to serve as we transition back into normal life.

COVID: Please check in to Northmead Anglican via the QR Codes, masks to be worn inside, no singing indoors or in SG Kids, please stay home if unwell.

Sunday Recap: Matthew 18:21-35 - How To Forgive

On Sunday, we celebrated our final service on Zoom before we go back to in-person gatherings! What a gift Zoom has been to us each week for encouragement, blessing, fellowship, and accountability! But…it’s not substitute for the real thing! Let’s prepare ourselves to re-gather once again!

Is there ever a time when enough is enough? Where you are released from the duty to forgive others? Are there any sins or offenses which are so grievous, painful, or sickening, that they can’t be forgiven?

In Matthew 18:21-35, Jesus instructs on how to forgive and shows that the power to forgive flows from seeing how deeply we’ve been forgiven!

Sunday Recap: Matthew 18:15-20 - The Pursuit

On Sunday we saw that Jesus has provided a way for us to deal with the inevitable sin and straying that will happen in the Kingdom Community, the Church. He gave us three steps to pursue one another in a humble and loving way for their good.

Question: Is there any one you need to lovingly pursue who is straying or is their someone who has sinned against you in a way that has really hurt and you need to deal with it? Listen to words of Jesus in Matthew 18:15-20

Matt. 18:15   “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

On Sunday, our Senior Pastor Jesus schooled us in how to have truly great community. The necessary and vital ingredient = humility! Humility is a willingness to consider your status and position as nothing and to consider others more significant than yourself. We say that truly great people are truly concerned for all, for their inclusion, their righteousness, and their progress.

How can you seek to be truly concerned for those in our church this week?
