Matthew_slide_FA_v3.jpg

On Sunday we finished the Sermon on the Mount! We were called by Jesus to consider what it means to truly listen, obey and follow Him in light of all that he has proclaimed about the Kingdom. He left us with two paths but only one way to life, which will you choose? Listen to the sermon here!

We also introduced a new song, “It Was Finished Upon That Cross” by CityAlight! Listen to the song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUGQNYm44hk

SG Kids - Back in the Flexible Learning Space!

SG Kids is now going to be run in the Flexible Learning Space where we use to have it last year!

We will continue to keep all the kids together for the rest of this roster but will eventually split back down into our 3 groups from then.

We are thanking the Lord for the opportunity to be able to use this space again and pray that it will bless the kids and leaders!

Exciting News !! - Change of Restrictions
photo-1503978581482-e06dc278d5c2.jpeg

As you may be aware our Premier announced some wonderful changes in Covid-19 restrictions to come into affect from Monday 29th March…

  • No cap on attendance at funerals or weddings

  • No cap on number of people in your home

  • Singing allowed in public worship and no need to wear masks

  • All services to return to 2m2 per person capacity

This is exactly what we had been hoping and praying for, and we’re so thrilled to share this good news with you!!

However, I have even more good news, reported by Glen Davies, the Sydney Anglican Archbishop..

‘After further conversations with Minister Hazard this week, I am delighted to inform you that he has granted an exception to all places of worship across the State for this weekend, with regard to singing. In other words, on Palm Sunday we shall be exempt from the current rules about singing with masks…’

So no mandatory masks this week folks. Once again, we really do have 10,000 reasons to praise don’t we!!

We are so very glad to bring this news to you today. Praise His Name!!

Easter is NEXT WEEK!

Hey Church,

Easter is SOON upon us and I am excited to worship the Saviour in this particular season where we reflect upon the most horrific and glorious moment in all of history: the death and resurrection of the Son of God!

Here is a brief overview of the plan so that you can get it in your diary and think about who to invite!

Good Friday 2/4/21

5pm @ Tara (inside) with Kids Work (outside!). A sombre service with readings and hymns, reflecting on the final day of Jesus’ life.

Easter Sunday 4/4/21

10am @ Tara (outside) with kids IN the service! We will have a one hour service to celebrate the resurrection of Christ! Who are you going to invigte?

Walk Up!

We will be printing flyers and then aiming to head out to let as many people in Parra know! More details to come. But please open your heart to this!

Sunday Recap: Matthew 7:1-12
Matthew_slide_FA_v3.jpg

Last Sunday Jesus turned to address our relationships within the Kingdom of God and we saw that “Kingdom righteousness is revealed in real world relationships”. How we live with others is a key mark of the follower of Jesus, and our main aim:  “whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.. You can listen to the message here!

Monthly Friday Fasting

This Friday we are going to fast for: mission in our lives and our city!

How do we fast?

Simply, abstain from food or other controlling appetite, for one day, once a month, and focus yourself on prayer that longs and pines for God. For example, my practice is to skip all meals on a Friday and break my fast at dinner time.

During the day I try to make plans for prayer that centre’s my heart on the Lord, crying out for more of Him and interceding for others in my life.

You don’t have to do it alone! Do it with someone, that is, plan it together, spur each other on.

Then, let’s come together for Mission Prayer and break the fast together!
