Every year we have the glorious opportunity of being reminded of the advent of Jesus Christ, his incarnation as a human, and it makes us long for the second Advent, when he will appear again!
In order to help you i have ordered four different Advent Devotionals so that the craziness of the Christmas season doesn’t skip you by! $10 each. You can buy them at church this week.
Next week I will be away with Pastor Dave Taylor for a joint planning and vision retreat. We both wanted to get some time to pray, think, and plan for the future of our two churches and our region, and so we thought…”why not do it together?!” We will be heading to the Central Coast for two nights. Please pray for our time together (and apart) that God would meet us, lead us, and inspire us!
We have the joy of welcoming Pastor Brendan from our sending church www.sovgrace.org.au to preach for us this week. Originally, I booked Brendan in because I am preaching at Wahroonga and they had 3 services but due to changes in COVID restrictions they now are able to fit everyone into two services. I will still be at church BUT I thought, why not have Brendan come in anyway to bless us! Get excited!
We have now started the most famous sermon ever preached, Jesus’ sermon on the mount! Jump into our first message on Matthew 5:1-12 here! It is such a counter-cultural message and it is going to challenge us each week but I am feeling a fresh faith to be challenged by Jesus and a desire to grow to be more like him!
We also welcome three new members into our little flock: Marcus and Baree Tripodi (Spring LG) and Betty Daniel (Burnett LG) Please make them feel warmly welcomed!

Share your voice and vision at our first ‘Parra Dream Day’. The aim behind this lunch is to hear from as many different people in the church so that I can have as broad a perspective as possible as I think and plan for the future!

We had a great night with 4 adult guests, we even had a lady come from walk-up the night before and a man came who saw the facebook event (and though it was just a coffee tasting night! But he stayed for the rest of the night regardless!) We had many people step out in faith and invite friends and family, well done to those who did!
A big thank you to the the team who pulled off the night with amazing coffee and delicious desserts, which helped break the ice for our first session of Christianity Explored. We then had some really good, honest and open discussions. Please be praying for the group as we continue the course weekly on Tuesday nights! May the lost be saved!
I have some good news, we are heading back to Tara for the School Summer Break! This means we will be back at Tara for Sundays 6th Dec to Sunday 17th Jan (God-willing!). This means we will be able to have a bigger space, more ventilation, and greater indoor/outdoor mingling room!
For those who are new, Tara is an Anglican Girls School in North Parramatta, it is the venue we launched our church in but we lost access to the site during the COVID lockdowns and never were allowed back in, until now! You can find the address here
This means are service will go back to 10am (no more lazy Sunday mornings!) and, hopefully we can even organise some post church lunches again!
Unfortunately, they are not allowing to use the SG Kids room so we will be doing SG Kids outside still…but at least we will have a big undercover area!
Let’s be thanking God for this and let’s be preparing our hearts for change, yet again!
