Hey Church!

By God’s grace we are slowly getting closer to our reunion Sunday on July 26th! In order to help us prepare for that, a small team is heading to Tara this Sunday to figure out the best way of organising ourselves and making it COVID safe going forward. We will be recording our service live from Tara and there will be no Zoom. I encourage you, if possible to gather with some friends from church and watch the service together!

than a thousand elsewhere.

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God

than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

There will be no LG’s meeting during the School Holidays but we would love to invite a number of you to join us for a time of worship and prayer by the fire. Unless restrictions change we can only have 20 visitors, so please RSVP if you plan on coming just so that we know!

Hey Church,

Although all the details aren’t finalised here is the basic outline for Sunday’s in the next couple of weeks:

Sunday 12th July = Zoom, with guest preacher Patrick Chavez (from SG Wahroonga)

Sunday 19th July = Trial Service @ Tara for a small team, with Facebook Live (or some other streaming equivalent) - for the rest of the church

Sunday 26th July = FIRST SUNDAY BACK @ TARA!!! w. Facebook live for those who can’t make it. Most likely we will have one service, we will have some kids work outside, we will have communion, we will have coffee, but we won’t have congregational singing.

“Hey everyone! How exciting that restrictions are starting to ease !! 👏🏽🥳 As things start back up again we want to run a kids leaders training night to help prepare us as we transition back into helping run kids on a Sunday morning. Please book it in your calendar -

Kids Leaders Training Night: Wednesday 22nd of July @ 7:30 PM.

This will most likely be a ZOOM call but will keep you posted and will send out more details soon. Am so thankful for such a great group of leaders and can’t wait to be running kids on a Sunday with you all again real soon! 😊”

Just remember, these nights are crucial and so it is vital that we make it a priority to be there for it! Thanks guys!

On Sunday we learned that because of the spiritual war that we are in, each one of us is called to engage in the battle as a ‘Prayer Warrior’. We pray because pray gets stuff done that we can’t get done by action alone! We saw that a prayer warrior:

1. Prays at all times. 2. Prays all kinds of prayers. 3. Prays with all perseverance. 4. Prays for all the saints.

The music team will be rehearsing Tuesday 7th July - 7:30pm-9:30pm @ The Girls’ House! They will be learning new songs and working on them. Let’s be thanking God for them, and praying for their time together!

On Friday we will join with other Sovereign Grace Churches around the world to pray for all the horrible injustice, racism, and brokenness we see in our communities.

If you can, schedule your lunch break so that you can jump on at any time between 12-1pm via Zoom OR print them off and pray for them as you work or at home etc.
